Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and APineda Web LLC (“we”, “us”), the publisher of the Three16 app and the three16.app website (together, “Three16”). By downloading or using Three16, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Three16.

If you got Three16 from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

1. Using Three16

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Three16 on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, church or study use. Three16 is free. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, or copy, modify or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

2. Bible texts and other content

The Bible translations in Three16 belong to their copyright holders, or are in the public domain, as listed in the app under Credits. Licensed translations are provided through API.Bible under their publishers’ terms: you may read and share short passages, but you may not copy, download or republish them in bulk. The daily photos are used under their own licenses, also listed in Credits.

Three16’s design, code, name and icon belong to APineda Web LLC.

3. Translations you import

Three16 lets you import a Bible translation from a file. Only import text you have the right to use. Imported text stays on your device, and you are responsible for it.

4. AI answers

Ask uses artificial intelligence to explain Bible passages. AI answers can be incomplete or wrong. They are a study aid only. They are not a substitute for Scripture itself, and not pastoral, medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice. Always check answers against the Bible and talk with your pastor or a qualified professional.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Three16 to break the law, to harm others, or to try to disrupt Three16 or the services it connects to.

6. Other services

Three16 works with services run by others, including Apple (iCloud, Apple Intelligence, Face ID), API.Bible, GitHub and Hugging Face. We don’t control them, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

7. No warranty

Three16 is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that Three16 will always be available, error-free, or that any translation or answer is accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, APineda Web LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Three16. Because Three16 is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

9. Changes and ending

We may update Three16 or these terms. If we change the terms, we’ll update this page and its date, and continuing to use Three16 means you accept the new terms. You can stop using Three16 at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering Three16 at any time.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where APineda Web LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.

11. Trademarks

Apple, iPhone, iCloud, Face ID and Apple Intelligence are trademarks of Apple Inc. Three16 is not made or endorsed by Apple, or by any Bible publisher.
